Hope Solo Is Not Doing The Post-DWTS Press Tour

Hope Solo is having a tough - big time!
The soccer star, who was eliminated Tuesday night Dancing With The Stars, would normally be doing the pretty-routine exit tour that is given to most axed contestants, which includes a spot on Jimmy Kimmel Live the night of boot, and then an interview on the following day's Good Morning America, but due to it being during the semi-final rounds of the competition, the network has instead decided to promote the remaining three contestants - Ricki Lake, Rob Kardashian and J.R. Martinez - before the finale next week!

However, it may in fact be to her benefit, as during her Extra interview, she got choked up and later refused to speak with any press, which, according to her rep, was because she was too "emotional." She's returned home to Seattle until the finale.

maria sharapova Conceding her limited preparation

Conceding her limited preparation and weakened mobility as less than ideal, Sharapova acknowledged Stosur's superior start and effectiveness of her low backhand slice. Tellingly, the woman who is statistically the best returner of the season did not get a break point until the second set. ''She just played really solid … and moved extremely well around the court and made me hit another ball,'' Sharapova said.

marion jones former world champion track

Marion Lois Jones born October 12, 1975, also known as Marion Jones-Thompson, is a former world champion track and field athlete, and a former professional basketball player for Tulsa Shock in the WNBA. She won five medals at the 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney, Australia, but forfeited all medals and prizes dating back to September 2000 after her October 2007 admission that she took performance-enhancing drugs as far back as the 2000 Summer Olympics, and that she had lied about it to a grand jury investigating performance-enhancer creations by Victor Conte and the Bay Area Laboratory Co-operative (a.k.a. BALCO).
At the time of her admission and subsequent guilty plea, Marion Jones was one of the most famous people to be linked to the BALCO investigation.41 days later, Major League Baseball player Barry Bonds was indicted on one count of obstruction of justice and four counts of perjury linked to his own testimony before the BALCO grand jury in December 2003.

David beckham Galaxy, but were ultimately unsuccessful

david beckham
On 17 June 2007, the last day of the La Liga season, Beckham started in his final match for the club, a 3–1 win over RCD Mallorca, which saw them clinch the title from Barcelona. With Real down 0–1 Beckham limped off the field and was replaced by José Antonio Reyes who scored

two goals leading the team to that season's La Liga title, their first since Beckham had signed with them and 30th overall in club's history. Although Real and Barca both finished level on points, Madrid took the title because of superior head-to-head record, capping a remarkable six-month turnaround for Beckham. With his wife and children along with celebrity friends Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes watching from a luxury box at Bernabeu Stadium, it was only Beckham's second piece of silverware since he joined the famous club.

Towards the end of the season, as Beckham was getting back into Capello's good books after successfully fighting his way back into the first team, Real Madrid announced they would try to untie his transfer to LA Galaxy, but were ultimately unsuccessful. Several weeks before Beckham's scheduled arrival to the United States, Real's management contacted LA Galaxy's ownership group about reacquiring the player, but were quickly turned down.

A month after the conclusion of Beckham's Real career, Forbes magazine reported that he had been the party primarily responsible for the team's huge increase in merchandise sales, a total reported to top US$600 million during Beckham's four years at the club.
